Summary from goodreads: Harper Madison isn't like other girls. She has extraordinary powers, but her inability to control them has gotten her kicked from so many foster homes she's lost count. Shadowford Home is her last chance, and she hopes Peachville High will be the fresh start she needs. But when evidence ties her to the gruesome murder of a Demons cheerleader, Harper discovers this small town has a big secret.

What I think: I got this book for free from the iBookstore, and I have to say it was definetelly worth the download. I've had some bad experiences with free Ebooks, they are usually not really worth reading. Luckely this one was worth it unquestionably. The book takes draws you in from the start and it's hard or maybe even impossible to put it away once you start reading.

Sarra Cannon did a very good job on bringin Harper Madison to life, it's not hard to feel with her she's the typical normal girl in highschool however she also has these magical powers.  It is hard to not encourage her to find out more about all the braintwisters in this book. I love how this books let's you keep guessing for what's going to happen next, who did murder one of the cheerleaders. Where do these powers come from, who are Harper's real parents?

The book really combines a lot of my favorite things in one small book, a cliche teenage love drama, some magic and mythical creatures and a lot of brainteasers to keep you on edge. I can't wait to start reading the second book in this series, Inner Demons. Let me finish by recommending this book to everyone who is in for a simple, short, but still edgy and exiting book!
